What are Sustainability Workshops?

Sustainability workshops are interactive sessions designed to educate and empower participants to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives. By advocating for waste reduction, plastic-free living, and the use of low-toxicity products, corporate teams can help their employees make informed consumer decisions and choose healthier habits.

At Sydasana, we understand that environmental stewardship in the workplace is most effective when provided in a practical, entertaining and digestible format. We have carefully crafted our sustainability offering alongside some of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane’s finest eco-conscious practitioners and business owners. Dazzle and delight your team with one of our fun DIY or sustainability education sessions.

Benefits of Learning About Sustainable Practices for Personal Care, Kitchen and Home

  • Environmental Impact: Reduce your carbon footprint by embracing waste-free, plastic-free, and low-toxicity products.

  • Healthier Living: Minimise exposure to harmful chemicals by using natural, non-toxic products for personal care and home cleaning.

  • Cost Savings: Save money in the long run by adopting reusable products, buying in bulk and choosing options that can be made from common household ingredients.

  • Increased Awareness: Foster a greater understanding of environmental issues and the importance of sustainable living.

  • Amplify uptake of office sustainability initiatives: Inspire your team and community to adopt sustainable practices that are introduced in the workplace, off the back of new habits instilled in their personal lives.

What to Expect from a Corporate Sustainability Workshop

  • Introduction to Sustainability: Begin with an overview of key sustainability concepts, state of play for waste and sustainability options for households in Australia etc.

  • Practical Demonstrations: A guided breakdown of how to make simple, sustainable and low waste products (based on the chosen focus area) including tools required, ingredient substitutes and case uses for the products created.

  • Interactive Activities: Participate in hands-on activities that demonstrate how to create waste-free products (based on a maximum of two product choices within the focus area).

  • Expert Guidance: Receive tips from sustainability experts on how to implement and maintain these practices. This could also include DIY guides and recipes, to help you continue your sustainable journey at home.

Q: How many people can you accommodate within each workshop? A: Usually a group of 20 - 30 people makes for the most ideal number of participants for 45 mins. We can customise based on event duration and scope of the event or host over two sessions if you have a bigger team.

Q: Is there a specific occasion most suited to hosting a sustainability event? A: Earth Hour and Plastic Free July are popular times of the year to run sustainability events in your workplace but there’s no hard and fast rule. Our team is available to help you choose the best option and timing for your event.

Q: What is the lead time for this kind of workshop? A: We require 4 weeks lead time for all sustainability workshops. This allows us to ensure we select the most appropriate facilitator, source materials, determine a clear run sheet and plan all other logistics for the day.
