The importance of workplace wellness

In an increasingly busy modern world, bringing wellness to the workplace has never been more important. There are so many factors that contribute to stress and burnout. At the very least we could all do with spending a little less time online, having better discipline with our work hours, and essentially working smarter not harder.

We have seen the effects of career stress, burnout, and fatigue firsthand. It can be devastating and even debilitating. Why wait until things get this bad to do something about it? It’s about prevention. Wellness services at scale are a very effective way of bringing balance to the workplace, and to help navigate through the inevitable stresses that arise at work. It’s not about eradicating stress so much as it is about providing tools to deal with stress.

“Employee engagement and wellness are about protecting your human capital, your most valuable asset.”
- Naz Beheshti, Forbes Women, CEO, Executive Coach, Author.

The stats are in, there’s a heap of research coming out demonstrating the benefits of implementing a wellness strategy at work. In one study, employers who implemented meditation programs for their employees saw an 85% decrease in absenteeism.

Sure, we can save companies huge loses and build a more productive workplace, but beyond that, on a very human level it’s about taking care of each other. Empowering our communities to feel really good physically and mentally has a ripple effect out into the world.
